Why BrainRetrain Works

Hemispheric specific treatment is the key success.

Motor activity, sensory stimulation, and cognitive functions directed toward the under-functioning hemisphere are the most important consideration in treatment. Achieving temporal coherence or a balance of activity between the two hemispheres is critical for allowing cognitive and bilateral motor binding to occur, which would reduce hemispheric neglect. As the hemispheres achieve normal coherence and synchronization, motor and cognitive performance will improve. Among the first to suggest this protocol was Dr. Robert Melillo, as born out by the body of research cited by Dr. Melillo in his work neurobehavioral 'Disorders of Childhood'.

"As a child Albert Einstein had ADD, ADHD and/or dyslexia. He did very poorly in elementary school, high school, and college. Albert Einstein’s brain was examined after he died, one researcher did find that he did have more connections between his brain cells. These connections obviously grew later in his life, a product of specific physical and mental exercises that he had done on a repetitive basis that caused the growth of the increased connections of his brain."
