DREAMWEAVER HOUSE’S CHILDREN ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM
Using the Dreamweaver Protocol of therapies One of many such Case Studies

Here reproduced and published  with the kind permission  of the child’s parents
James -(MALE)-is 5 years old

Diagnosed with PDD-NOS before his 2nd birthday.  He did everything perfectly normally until he was 20 months old. He had words and great eye contact. His Parents voice an inability to look at early videos of him, because, as they say, he was so perfect in every way. It hurts them tremendously to see all that he has lost.

THIS CASE HISTORY TRACKS HIS PROGRESSION AT DREAM WEAVER HOUSE  USING THE DREAMWEAVER PROTOCOL .
OVER A 12 MONTH PERIOD

At the time of intake and evaluation before beginning the protocol at Dreamweaver House, James’ current condition was evaluated and documented in the following manner:  James was evaluated as a very bright child. He had taught himself to read when he was just a year old. He understands things, but he’s seems to lack understanding of many things Mom says to him.  Also, he could not communicate verbally. If you say thank you, he does not say you’re welcome. He cannot verbally communicate what it is he wants and he does not respond verbally appropriately when spoken to. He does verbal stimming constantly (non-communicative verbal sounds). And, he does hand stimming (non-communicative physical movement) as well. He says only 1-3 words in context. And he speaks in a monotone. When he wants something he says, “I want Mommy,” and then he shows Mom what he wants. He will say hello to people only with Mom’s prompting. Mom will say, “Say hello to Karalee” and he’ll repeat, “Say hello to Karalee”. If she says, “What is your name,” he’ll say, “What is your name.” He does not say James. His balance and coordination are not good. He does not readily respond to pain; he lacks focus and he has a ‘spacey’ look in his eyes when a person speaks to him. He will not pose for a picture. He is very good on the computer; he can play games and finds them on his favorite websites. When he eats, he stuffs the entire portion of food into his mouth, he can’t take little bites except when he eats pretzels, then he will only eat the salt off of them and he will not open his mouth to get his teeth brushed. Previously, and for over a year, he has grinded his teeth with great intensity. He goes through stages where he doesn’t like to take a bath. James is agitated taking the school bus, though he never gets motion sickness on the bus. He doesn’t respond if Dad enters or leaves the room and he doesn’t laugh if he gets tickled. He doesn’t pick up on non-verbal cues. He has unformed bowel movements and he is not potty trained. He does not sleep through the night, waking frequently flailing around by throwing his head back. . He cannot carry out two step commands. A person has to call him over and over before he will look at the person.

The Dreamweaver Protocol is explained in detail to his parents, as a combination of well researched and clinically proven Drug free and non invasive ( no physical medication is introduced into the body), combination of specific therapies which have been found at Dreamweaver House to work synergistically to dramatically improve and eventually correct the child’s condition over time, observed in ‘baby steps’.  Can be used along with any medications or therapies currently being used, and if anything, will increase their effectiveness.

January 28th 2008.  James began with the underlying therapy of the protocol, by listening to the Custom CD embedded with Brainwave Frequency for Autism, created for Dreamweaver House by Researcher/Clinician Dr Jeffrey Thompson of the center for Neuroacoustic Research.  He has listened with full ear covering, special frequency conducting, left and right hemisphere constructed, headphones, for 40 minutes both at Dream Weaver House one to two times per week and at home each night at bedtime. (Children usually will not tolerate the headphones for more than one minute during the first one or two sessions.  But subsequent to that, over a matter of two to three sessions,  parents are amazed to observe them tolerating them longer and longer as their brains welcome the missing Brainwaves, 40 minutes and longer if they are not forced to stop listening)  This activity lays the ground work of Brainwave Entrainment – allowing the brain to assimilate and train itself to reproduce Brainwave frequencies it is lacking, for the production of missing or incomplete neural pathways, and the desired balancing of both hemispheres of the brain.

April 1st, 2008.   James also started using The Children’s Mental Focus patches of the Dreamveaver protocol, designed to eliminate the R1H2 Virus, recently discovered by the eminent Researcher and DreamWeaver House consultant, Dr. Rick Hunt, who by using 21st, century digital equipment he virtually invented, has found this destructive virus to be present in the brain of almost 99% of children with autism, tested by him.

May 8th-4 ½ weeks into the basic protocol including the Children Mental Focus (CMF) patches, James is stimming verbally more than ever – a natural effect on the brain as the R1H2 virus desperately tries to evade the digital frequency of the Patch aimed at destroying it.  (This increased stimming usually lasts for about one to two weeks.)  But, cognitively, James has begun to show improvement, as evidenced by his teacher’s observations.  On one occasion, she reports of asking him, “what flies?” and shows him various pictures.  He chose the airplane. He subsequently, to her expressed surprise, chose correctly for every question she asked.

May 12th.- While at DreamWeaver House he has also been watching the children’s movies therapy within the Dreamweaver protocol.  These are movies embedded with ACTION CAPTIONS , where words appear from the screen character’s mouth in real time as they speak, thereby addressing “eye gaze fixation” – a common symptom of Autism, while naturally activating those areas of the brain responsible for learning and especially speech.
5 weeks into the Protocol including CMF patches, James is playing and acting out scenes with his Wonder Pets, little animals he has from the show WONDER PETS.  James has not acted out scenes in the past.  He has begun repeating the word “ you” in context, as seen on the ACTION CAPTIONS movies.

May 15th- 5 ½ weeks into the protocol including CMF patches, Mom says he is much more present and doesn’t have that ‘spacey’ look in his eyes anymore.  Also, he is beginning potty training and it is going very well.

May 22nd- 6 ½ weeks into the protocol including CMF patches Mom says James now opens his mouth to get his teeth brushed.  Also, he has had only one accident in 2 weeks of potty training. Mom says he no longer has issues taking the bus; he’s much calmer now.  He now runs to Mom when she comes to school and he is very cognizant of her presence.  Mom reiterated that he is much more aware of what’s going on. If she tells him, “I’m coming back to pick you up”, he’s understanding it. Also, Mom mentioned that he is finally having formed bowel movements.

May 24th –almost 7 weeks into the protocol including CMF patches and James said “Good morning,” in response to Mom’s good morning.  Karalee asked, “How are you James?” and instead of repeating, “How are you James?” he said “good”. Mom said his brother, Dillon, was using the computer yesterday and James wanted to use it. So James said “I want Dillon, come on.” Mom was happy that he is starting to communicate and he is also saying “hi” to people.

May 29th- 7 ½ weeks into the protocol and CMF patches, James yelled “help” from the potty when he was finished. It was a very new and appropriate response.

June 2nd – 8 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches. Mom said they went away over the weekend and on two occasions James said, “It’s really nice here.” He sat at the table with the entire family in a restaurant and he did very well. They usually don’t eat together. And, he is finally taking little bites of food. When he left his session with Karalee she said “see you on Thursday,” and James responded, “See you next time.”

June 5th- 8 ½ weeks into the protocol including CMF patches, Mom said James ran to her when he saw her at school and he said “hi”, this was the first time he said “hi” without her saying it first. James got up on the trampoline at school this day. It was the first time he had ever gotten up by himself and everyone was clapping. His self esteem was obviously buoyed and he was proud of himself and proud that everyone was clapping for him. Mom also reported at this session that he is saying “no” appropriately

June 12th- 9 ½ weeks into the protocol including CMF patches. Mom was especially excited as she reported on James’s progress to date.  .James, she reports, has a sprinkler at home that has numbers on it. Mom would say, “Where is number one, where is number two?” etc., and James would point to it and step on it.  Now he says, “Where is number one?” himself and he proceeds to point to it and steps on it.  Mom also reported that now when he hurts himself, he says, “I’m cold.” Mom explains, “You’re hurt.” He never expressed pain in the past and now he is finally feeling it and responding to it, and he is letting Mom, on some level know. He loves Dora and Diego, the TV cartoon characters. He has both dolls. He wanted some things on them taken off and he said to Mom repeatedly, “bracelet off,”  “Dora’s hat off.” This was all unprompted by Mom.  Also, for the last couple of months he has been saying, “I want to go downstairs,” in the morning when he gets up. Also, he continues to say “no,” appropriately. He continues to do well at school with potty training, Mom says, “he’s totally catching on.”

June 16th-10 weeks into the protocol including CMF patches and Mom said they were at Grandma’s house the other day. James was in a room with his mom and uncle. When he left the room his uncle asked him where he was going and he said “over there.” Mom said James has never before answered a question pertaining to him. His answer was very appropriate. The family was very excited. The other day Mom and James were in the shed and James said “bubbles”, pointing to the bubble machine. Mom said, “Oh, you want the bubbles?” and James responded, “right now”. Mom was thrilled because this was something he had never said before.  Also, he’s watching a lot of Dora and she teaches good manners and also teaches all the kids to clean up. James is now learning and he is starting to clean up his room.  For the first time threw his cup into the trashcan, as he said, “Let’s clean up the beach,” which is what Dora says and does on TV. So, he’s showing real signs of imitating behavior, which is something he only did before the onset of autism.  Mom said he has great eye contact and has become very affectionate. He gives kisses and hugs and makes the kissing sound a lot. Also, when James was leaving DreamWeaver House he used the toilet there for the very first time.

June 19th- 10 ½ weeks into the protocol including CMF patches , The ‘Rejuvinator’ and ‘Recovery’ therapies of the Dreamweaver protocol was added.  The ‘Rejuvenator’ is a coin sized disc added to each corner of the mattress on which James sleeps.  Dr. Rick Hunt’s ‘Rejuvinator, facilitates rejuvenated new whole body cell growth as James sleep.  The ‘Recovery’ therapy is another of Dr. Hunt’s postage sized body patch, which repairs the brain damage caused by the now eradicated R1H2 virus, while ensuring that the already compromised brain tissue is not susceptible to invasion by other pathogens.  Mom said he’s happy all the time. He is saying words now that he hasn’t said before. For example, he pushed the bicycle and said “bicycle”. Also, he wanted Mom to get down a planter that was in the shape of a bee and he said “bee”. He is communicating more with appropriate words.

June 23rd- 11 weeks into the protocol including CMF, Recovery patches and one week on the Rejuvenator. Mom excitedly called Karalee 2 nights ago to share some exciting news. James had heard some kids playing and water splashing at the neighbor’s house. So, he took his mom’s hand and walked over to the fence. He peeked through a crack in the fence and said, “Look, there’s a swimming pool.” Mom said she did not even know that he knew what a swimming pool was.  On another occasion he wanted to go outside and he said, “Mommy, come on.” .  Mom reports that although he’s become very affectionate, now he’s really connecting with great eye contact and lots of kisses. He is also more vocal with dislikes. He will have a minor tantrum if he wants something and he is told no, Mom is happy because it means he’s really understanding the word no.  If he gets hurt he now says, “oh, no,” or “ouch”. If a person takes something from him, he’ll say, “oh, no”, in the past he would just let a person take it. Dad was home with him this morning and James complained with a vocalization when the bus came to take him to school, because he didn’t want to leave Dad. Another new activity is that he poses for pictures, which is definitely something he never did in the past. Mom said he’s sleeping 10 hours a night, straight through something he never used to do.

June 30th- 12 weeks into the protocol including CMF patches, one week on the Recovery patch and 2 weeks on the Rejuvenator. Mom said he had a mishap with his diaper the other day (he is still getting potty trained) and James said “nice mess”. When Mom was outside in the yard yesterday, the phone rang and James answered it. It was Dad who called. James didn’t speak, but it was the first time he picked it up.

July 7th-13 weeks into the protocol including CMF patches, 2 weeks on the Recovery patch and 3 weeks on the Rejuvenator. In the car today coming to DreamWeaver House, James said, “oh, no,” as he passed the highway exit for his aunt’s house where he was just in a few days before. Mom said, “Do you want to go to Col’s house?” and he said, “yeah”. Mom’s reaction was that he had answered a direct question, which is a rare thing.  When they were at his aunt’s house over the weekend, they were in her pool, and he said, “I want to go downstairs.” His aunt had let him play with everything the previous time he was there, including the drums and he obviously remembered it. So when he went downstairs he said, “I want music,” as he walked towards the room with the musical instruments. A little later, still downstairs, he looked up at a craft that his cousin had made. It has a crank on it and when you crank it, an airplane turns around.  James said, “I want the jack-in-the-box.” No one in the family knew what to call this hand made airplane craft, but James really came up with a pretty close description. Mom said that the “I want” is really carrying over to many things now. Next, he said “I want tea,” as he looked up and saw a napkin holder with the word tea written on it.  He also yelled the word, “no”, when he didn’t get to take a piece of puzzle he needed. Mom said he’s changing his voice up and down, so he isn’t monotone anymore. And, he’s also playing more appropriately now. Mom uses a bubble machine and as the bubbles come out, he’s more attentive to them. Furthermore, when Mom says thank you, he’s starting to say, “you’re welcome. “Across the board he’s much more focused,” says Mom.

July 14th-14 weeks into the protocol including CMF patches, 3 weeks on the Recovery patch and 4 weeks using the Rejuvenator. Yesterday, in the morning, upstairs by the bedrooms, Mom said, “Where do you want to go?” and James answered, “‘I want to go downstairs’ ”.  Today she asked him, “Where do you want to go?” and James responded, “‘Where do you want to go?” But a little later she asked him the same question and he said, “‘downstairs’”. So, again he responded appropriately. He is imitating his parents, which he hadn’t done since he was a baby and Mom is noticing even more things. He is walking up the stairs now without holding on. This is something he could not do in the past. He doesn’t move right, left, right, left, but he can have things in his hands as he goes up, which shows his parents that his coordination is improving.

July 17th- 14 ½ weeks into his protocol including CMF patches, 3 ½  weeks on his Recovery patches and 4 ½ weeks on his Rejuvenator. Today school sent home an exciting report on James. They were playing circle time and each child gets a turn, when it was James’ second turn he said, “‘It’s my turn again.’” The The teachers all went, “wow”. Mom also said that he handed her a Winnie the Pooh video and as he did he said, “dum de dum, dum de dum,” just like Winnie. Mom said, “He’s now imitating characters and his scripting is meshing with the real world. So his verbal stimming is becoming more purposeful.”  For example, he’ll look at his frog and say, “The red eye tree frog has sticky toes that he uses for climbing.” This is the exact line from the video Diego. James is going away next week on a beach vacation. Mom says he does especially well around water. She said he is learning to play appropriately with sand. He didn’t like it in the past. The other interest he has now is in playing with balls. Before, he would ignore a ball. Before he was 18 months old he did play with them. Mom and Dad are both joyful that this very common interest of boys, playing with balls is coming back. Finally, Mom continues the question in the morning, upstairs by the bedrooms in his house, “where do you want to go?” and he now has responded several times, “‘I want to go downstairs.’”

July 28th-16 weeks into his protocol including CMF patches, 5 weeks on his Recovery patches and 6 weeks on his Rejuvenator. Mom said that James was excited to be on vacation. He walked up 200 steps going up to a lighthouse and it was a very narrow staircase. His balance has very much improved. Mom said, “James was doing everything like a regular kid. He played games in the vacation room, he went swimming and he was easy going. It was much more relaxed than last year because he understands danger with high staircases.” Mom said he was bored coming home in the car and when he looked at his mom’s ring he said, “ring”, because he wanted to play with it. Then he said “Daddy’s ring”, because he wanted to play with that one too. Mom said, “He was saying things all week and when Dad closed the door on his finger he said ‘ouchie, that’s not right.’
When he was on the potty, he said, ‘all done’. Dad had asked him earlier when he was on the potty if he was all done, so the next time he used the phrase appropriately. Mom remarked on how correct it was all  initially explained by Dreamweaver House, “progress is in baby steps.  It will all take some time, but with patience and perseverance, there will be slow but significant improvement and eventually, correction of the condition”.  She pointed out that at this point in time James is still stimming verbally and he still has some problems with his balance but overall she is very hopefilled.

July 31st-16 ½ weeks on the Dreamweaver Protocol including CMF patches, 5 ½ weeks on his Recovery patches and 6 ½ weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom said that James is singing all the time. For example, he sings phrases from Sesame Street or songs he’s heard at school. Mom said she was singing and James didn’t want to hear anymore so he said “ouchie” she then stopped. He learned to say ouchie from Mom who says it when a person gets hurt. Also, the doctor tried to examine James’ private parts and he wouldn’t let her. Both doctor and Mom thought it was an appropriate response to a stranger. Mom says he loves his basic protocols Brainwave sound frequency CD at night, and he sleeps every night 8-10 hours. One night a week he’ll sleep 12 hours. Mom said he doesn’t grind his teeth as much since he’s been on the patches, although he still does sometimes. He doesn’t do verbal stimming when he’s engaged. Today he did very little stimming during the Dreamweaver House session.

August 4th-17 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 5 weeks on Recovery patches and 7 weeks on Rejuvenator. James was in the pool the other day and Mom asked him if he wanted to come out and he very appropriately responded, “No”, because he didn’t want to come out. “He rarely answers questions”, said Mom. Mom put him on the potty and said, “You did it,” when he urinated and he responded with, “thank you”. Mom said he’s doing well with the potty training. Also, he has a toy Elmo and he moves his mouth and says something that Elmo would say and he did the same thing with Ernie.  James has been doing well on the computer. He goes to YouTube and types in the names of his songs and finds them. He spelled his name out-typing it.

August 13th-18 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 6 weeks on Recovery patches and 8 weeks on Rejuvenator. James has been answering questions. Mom said, “What do you want?” and James answered, “Zone Bar”. Mom said in the last week he has answered appropriately 6 or 7 times. He gets upset if Dad leaves the room and he laughs hysterically when Dad tickles his belly. Mom said that he never use to do this. In the doctor’s office yesterday he made great eye contact and he laughed heartily.  Mom asked him if he could find 2 triangles and he pointed to them. When Mom puts up 6 fingers and asks James how many, he says 6. Mom gave James a cookie and he ran upstairs and got Cookie Monster to feed him. He gave up eating cookies a year ago, but when Mom suggested he eat the cookie himself, he did.  Usually when Mom and Dad cut his hair he refuses to wear a cape, but now he keeps it on the entire time.  Now he’s actually running around with a sarong and he pretends it is a cape. Mom said he’s getting motion sickness on the bus and the swing and she’s happy because she thinks the vestibular area of his brain is getting activated.

August  19th  nearly 19 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 6 weeks on Recovery patches and 9 weeks on Rejuvenator. James had run out of patches for a week. Mom said she left the old patch on James and she noticed he acts “crazy” without his new patch. She said he’s whinier and he throws himself on the floor.  “The new patch changes everything,” she said.

He likes both parents to come with him everywhere and he cries if someone leaves. He’s more focused and parents and teachers are noticing lots of little things, like joined attention. He’s singing more although still verbally stimming. He has a v-tech computer game at home and in the past he would push the same button over and over. Months ago he was really obsessed so Mom put the games away then took them out again months later to find that he is no longer displaying obsessive behavior, although he still likes to press some buttons again and again. Mom says he plays very complicated games he finds on the computer and, she says, “He’s definitely listening more and if I say don’t move to him, he’ll stay where he is”.

August 26th-20 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 7 weeks on Recovery patches and 10 weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom said when she put on the new patches they saw immediate differences. She said, “He had been fighting not to go to bed.  But last night he went right to bed.” Mom asked him what he wanted last night and he said “bricks”, that’s his name for Lego’s. Mom said he’s been answering a lot of questions. The other day she asked him what he wanted and he said “house”, this was a toy that looked like a house. They play a game with numbers and letters and Mom said, “Do you want to play with numbers or letters?” and he said “letters”. Last night Mom said, “Do you want to play with numbers or letters?” and he repeated the same thing back. She did the numbers game and after 2 turns he said “letters”. Last week he took both Mom and Dad’s hands and walked them over to the fence where the neighbor has a pool on the other side and he thought long and hard as parents kneeled down to listen to him and he said “over the fence”. He really wanted to go over the fence to get to the pool. Mom then recounted a story that she described with a chuckle. She and her husband were going to go out for a walk and they kept asking James to come with them. He was ignoring them because he was involved in something else. Finally, he got up and said, “Open the door.” Mom said he was trying to tell them to open the door and leave- he didn’t want to go with them. He goes to the kitchen cabinet now and he says, “I want Zone Bar” and “I want Rice Krispies”, etc. Mom says, “ he has one favorite book and he wants it read over and over, just like a baby. It makes me so happy because he’s picking up where he left off. And teachers are working on two step commands. For example, they say, ‘first touch your ears, next touch your nose.’ He never could do this before and now he can. ”

September 8th -21 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 9 weeks on Recovery patches and 12 weeks on Rejuvenator. James has been requesting everything. Today when he got out of the shower he said, “I want my shirt off”, but he meant that he wanted it on. He is doing even more complex games on the computer.  When you say his name he looks at you. Mom said, that before she would have to repeat his name over and over. He wants Mom to read a whole book to him and he repeats and imitates Mom and her expressions. He sings songs and repeats words from books. Mom will hold up any number of fingers and he says the number immediately. He plays a game with numbers and he does well. Friday he woke up at 4 AM, but the first night of school he slept 12 hours and the next night he slept 7 hours.  At night he tells Mom which movie he wants whereas before he just cried and didn’t tell her which one he wanted. Also, in the past, he would only be able to ask for food when he would be in the kitchen. He would see it and then say it. Mom said, “The other day he was upstairs in the bedroom and he said, ‘I want yogurt’.” Whenever he was in a store he would do a lot of verbal stimming, but he’s not doing it as much as before. Also, Mom says, “I want 5 apples,” and James will count them out. “We are still working on communicating,” said Mom, “He’s doing things babies do- where he had left off- he’s pointing and repeating words. The other day Mom, Dad and James were at the beach and James said “shirt off” and then said, “Daddy’s shirt off”. Sometimes he’ll say “I want Mommy” or “I want Daddy”.

September 13th- 21 ½  weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 9 ½ weeks on Recovery patches and 12 ½ weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom said that the 1st week of kindergarten went well. He has requested things for himself in the past but now he’s requesting things for Cookie Monster. He is imitating Mommy. He understands and takes directions and he likes to interact. He wanted help from his brother Dillon and he walked up to him and said “I’m done, are you done?” He heard the song Old McDonald Had a Farm and he walked over to a toy cow, picked it up and said ‘with a moo moo here’. Also Mom bought him pretzels that were different from what he was use to and he said, “No, yuckie!”

September 24th- 23 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 11 weeks on Recovery patches and 14 weeks on Rejuvenator. James has been answering a lot of questions, says Mom. Mom will say, “What are you looking for?” and he is answering. Mom says he’s doing well in school. Now Mom says “Quiet mouth” and he follows her directions. He sings all the songs they learn in class, which is something he didn’t do last year. He smiles going to school and coming home from it. Mom says he definitely likes it. He smiled at and gave Mom’s friend a kiss who hasn’t seen him in a year. He’s saying the word ‘no’ even more appropriately. Mom says he’s understanding everything; school, bed, etc. His body language shows he doesn’t want to do something. Lately he’s been making Mom read Jay, Jay the Jet Plane. He wants this same book each night. When Mom starts to read she is animated and he’s animated too. His scripting is singing the things he hears teacher say at school. Mom says when he’s on the bus coming home from school he obviously  thinks about what he wants to do because when he gets off and he goes right to it when he walks into the house. Mom recalls that only a couple of months ago he went through a stage that he didn’t want to be in the bath.   Now he likes taking a bath, and especially communicates when he doesn’t want to do something

September 27th-23 ½ weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 11 ½ weeks on Recovery patches and 14 ½ weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom said that James dropped his toy Sponge Bob on the floor of the car and he said, “I want Sponge Bob”. This was huge! Also, Mom says that he is retaining all the songs he’s learning in school. She said, “Yesterday it was raining and he sang, ‘the wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish’. This is one of the songs he learned in school and he responded to the rain with a very appropriate song. He’s been telling Mom which movies he wants to watch and he still likes Mom to read to him.

October 8th-25 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 13 weeks on Recovery patches and 16 weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom says in school he’s shaking his head yes and no appropriately. He continues to sing all the songs from school. He knows the October Song  by heart and he just learned it. He knows all the nursery rhymes and Mom says he continues to do well with potty training at school. He still likes Jay Jay the Jet Plane and they have a Christian aspect to it that Mom ordered. Mom says, “The book says something about love. So James takes two of his Jay Jay toy characters, which he also has, and he makes them say I love you to each other in his own voice.” Also, he’s been saying it to Mom and Dad. And, when he gives his dad a kiss, Dad says, “thank you” and then James replies, “You’re welcome.” Mom said, “This has never been done before.”  He plays this game called “Lessons for all Seasons” with his Jay Jay and the Jet Plane DVD. He takes his planes and makes a circle and sings the songs of the particular season. He’s aware of the seasons. Mom said, “He spontaneously said goodbye to the bus driver today. He only slept 6 hours last night, but he was fine and pleasant when he got up.” His teachers say every day is a great day for James at school. His bowel movements are great. He eats 3-4 Zone Bars a day; pretzels with salt; Rice Krispie treats and organic yogurt; and he drinks organic rice milk. He eats no eggs. The other day the pretzel broke and he said “yuck”.

October 11th-25 ½ weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 13 ½ weeks on Recovery patches and 16 ½ weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom is giving James baths with Epsom salts. He slept well for the last 2 nights. Mom says she doesn’t help him with computer, James tells her, “It’s easy as 1, 2, 3.” Mom said, “He was speaking to the TV and he was answering the TV back appropriately-it was very natural flowing speech-like he was talking to someone.”

October 15th-26 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 14 weeks on Recovery patches and 17 weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom said James threw kisses for the first time from the school bus. Mom has been throwing kisses to him for years and today was the first time he returned them. Also, he imitates Mom during games. The other day he wanted to use the computer which his brother Dillon was on, so he walked over to him and just stood there looking at him until Dillon turned around to look at him. Then James said, “I want exit!” He communicated that he wanted his brother to exit the computer-it was his turn. When Mom asked James if he wanted 3 or 4 pretzels, he said “2”. And, he said goodbye to the bus driver again. Mom is trying to get him to say his name, but he can only type it. He is sleeping well, a minimum of 9 hours a night. He continues to sing Jay Jay and the Jet Plane. Mom says, “He’s singing it just like they sing it. Before he would sing it, but not in the same rhythm of the song.”

October 22nd-27 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 15 weeks on Recovery patches and 18 weeks on Rejuvenator.  Mom said, “When James got off the bus he said, ‘it’s nice to see you here.’ He’s still blowing me kisses and he’s mimicking my body language, which is so normal for kids learning. I have only gotten good reports from teachers since he started school. He requests a specific book, for example, he’ll say “Sniffy’s Favorite Color”. He likes this book about a character that is shy. He continues to do less and less stimmy talk  and he’s very healthy. Mom reports that James was interactive with company at the house the other day.”

October 29th- 28 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 16 weeks on Recovery patches and 19 weeks on Rejuvenator.  “James is eating the whole pretzel, not just the salt,” says Mom. Mom says this is positive because he never did this before. Every day when he gets off the bus he continues to say, “It’s so nice to see you here,” to his mom. He continues to sleep well-9 ½ to 10 hours a night. He goes up to bed at 7 PM and falls asleep at 8:30 PM always with his Dr. Thompson’s Dreamweaver Basic Protocol’s Brainwave Entrainment, Autism frequency custom CD, playing and he wakes up at 6:30 AM.

November 11th-30 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 18 weeks on Recovery patches and 21 weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom said, “The other day James wanted to go on the computer and his brother was on it. So James went over to him and waited for him to look at him. When his brother turned to look, James said, ‘Up Dillon’ twice. When I told him it wasn’t his turn, James said, ‘Oh man, oh man’ about 10 times. Also, he went all the way upstairs to get his potty, because he had to use it. He signaled to me to put it on the chair it usually goes on. This is huge!”  Also, Mom said that Daddy plays a game with him. He calls it “Let’s count Cheerios,” and they count out cheerios aloud. His dad will eat one and James will count the Cheerios left. “Now,” Mom says, “when Dad comes home from work, James says, really loud, just like Dad, ‘Let’s count cheerios’, and then he runs to get the box.”

November 14th- 30 ½ weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 18 ½ weeks on Recovery patches and 21 ½ weeks on Rejuvenator. Mom said that James tried regular Cheerios, then Honey Nut cereal and then Fruit Loops. He took out Apple Jacks and he wanted a cookie at Grandma’s and he ate it. He now let’s Mom brush his teeth, which is huge, because he never would do it in the past. He told Mom for the first time, “pee, pee”. And now when he is made to do something he doesn’t want to do, he says, “You suck”. While most parents may be upset that their child is saying this, his parents laugh and are just so happy he is using it appropriately. Mom says he looks so much healthier and he doesn’t get sick as much as he use to.  The latest is that he’s learned how to blow a horn.

November 19th-31 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 19 weeks on Recovery patches and 22 weeks on Rejuvenator. James went over to his brother while his brother was playing the guitar and his brother stopped playing, but James said, “Continue”.  While he watched a Protocol ‘s Action Caption movie with the words, during the session today, he read them aloud. Mom says he continues to love the food game Dad plays with him and he tried another cookie at Grandma’s; he tried pizza at home and Cheerios. He gagged on the pizza because of the consistency and he held his ear. Mom said the second time he tried the pizza he held his ear, but he didn’t gag. He said the word Goldfish, so Mom took the crackers out and he played the counting game with them. He takes one and then he says “Daddy has one,” then Daddy will take one. He even said, “Let’s count green beans,” and he suggests this game with other food as well.  Mom says, “He also wants to try new food and it’s really hard for him, but it’s where he’s at with his healing. He would gag watching someone else eat or brush their teeth.” Mom says he’s doing great with potty training, “he never wets at school.” Also, she says he likes to watch the bus leave after he’s dropped back home after school. Mom says, “All gone” and now James says, “All gone.”

November 22nd-32 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 20 weeks on Recovery patches and 23 weeks on Rejuvenator. “Today,” Mom said, “While we were in the bathroom for James’ morning bath, he walked over to the toilet and urinated in it- the first time ever! Also, he’s eating Captain Crunch cereal and goldfish.”

November 28th-33 weeks on the protocol including  CMF patches, 21 weeks on Recovery patches and 24 weeks on Rejuvenator. Dad called Dreamweaver House to say, “thank you, IT’S NICE TO HAVE MY SON BACK!”   He’s doing things now that he did when he was a baby. He’s trying new foods and he’s interacting with people.  He’s answering questions and when my sister asked him for a kiss last night after the Thanksgiving Dinner he kissed her. Before she would ask and wouldn’t even look at her. He sleeps 10 hours a night and if I have to move him he doesn’t even wake up. DREAM WEARVER HOUSE IS A BLESSING TO US. WE THANK YOU SO MUCH BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT IT IS ALL THE RESULT OF YOUR PROTOCOL!!”

December 12th- 35 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 23 weeks on Recovery patches and 26 weeks on Rejuvenator. His sister noticed that he was more interested in her, said Mom. He sang a song and used Mommy’s name and his sister’s name unprompted.  Mom said, “This is huge! He continues to learn a lot of songs at school and he remembers the lyrics perfectly. In the past he wouldn’t really participate much in school- he would just bring home what he learned. Now he participates in school, but he’s not playing with others yet. He does transition well. In the morning he shuts the TV off when I tell him it’s time to go to school. Last year I would have to bribe him to go to school. He’s happier now. He got on the bus, signaled me and said, ‘I love you’. I was looking at him the other day and he looked back at me as if to say ‘what?’ He can now write his name, which is something he couldn’t do before. His teacher showed him a picture of an animal and she asked him what letter it started with and he said the letter accurately. He gets excited when his father walks in the door; in the past he would hardly look at him and now he’s picking up on non-verbal cues.”

December 27th-37 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 25 weeks on Recovery patches and 26 weeks on Rejuvenator. Dad said, “He’s very aware of Christmas this year.  Last year he opened his gifts very slowly and this year he ripped into them.  He’s into spinning and the doctors say this is good for the vestibular area of the brain. He was very good at his grandparent’s house. He was more social than usual- it was a short visit. He loves the beach and he threw rocks. His coordination is a lot better.  And, he said, ‘this is fun.’ We went to the beach again the next day and he said, ‘It’s a beautiful day.’”

January 3rd 2009-38 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 26 weeks on the Recovery patches and 27 weeks on Rejuvenator. “He’s on his Brainwave Entrainment headphones each night for 45 minutes and he smiles and snuggles into his pillow when we put them on him.  He understands a lot of cues. When we tap on the couch he knows to come over and sit with us,” says Dad. Mom and Dad say he interacts with everyone and the family completely notices a change in him. Dad continues, “He picks up on subtle gestures. He will take both of our hands to go to the beach. His brother Dillon will interact with him and James will interact too. He actually chose Christmas gifts for his mom. He was great out shopping and he was able to use the bathrooms in public places. If he’s verbally stimming and Mom says quiet mouth, he will stop. He doesn’t carry on for a toy for himself. And, he follows directions to a tee-he’s so much more aware of his surroundings. He understands all gestures; he’s clearer; if I say do you want to ride my back for a horse ride, he’ll get it. He’s a vegetarian. He eats protein bars and yogurt. He’s healthy and happy.  He’s using words like, ‘I want Blues Clues’. Things are really coming together. He’s starting to get a sense of humor. He’ll give a different name for one of his sisters and then he’ll laugh. He’s doing sad face and happy face and he still sleeps 9-10 hours a night.  He can now play Dora Candy Land game and he understands about taking turns. He didn’t even want to play it before. Last year he wasn’t into Christmas presents and this year he wanted to see everyone’s gifts.

January 7th-38 ½ weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 26 ½ weeks on the Recovery patches and 27 ½ weeks on Rejuvenator. Parents said he was hyper and happy the other night when they came home. Dad brought him to the bathroom to use the potty, which he did, and James said, “Bath time,” and then he said, “Get in the bath Dad.” “He’s never said this before,” said Mom. So, Dad got in the tub with his bathing suit on and James pumped Dove soap on his hands and shook the excess into the tub. When Mom took it away he yelled excitedly, “want, want.” Mom showed him that it was Dove and he said, “Want dove, want dove.” His teacher said that James had a great week back to school after the Christmas break; answering all questions and participating in all the activities.  James’ Mom and Dad are big Titan football fans. And while watching the games, James joined in saying, “defense, defense,” while clapping his hands. This was the first time he did this and now he continues to do it. He said to Dad, “I miss you” and “what’s up” which is something he’s learned from Dad. But, Mom says he really uses these new phrases appropriately. Mom says that James quiets down at night when Dad plays with him. She says he still loves and craves his Brainwave entrainment music CD. When he ended his session today, he said “cars,” because he wanted to come into the next room to play with the toy cars.

January 10, 2009-39 weeks on the protocol including CMF patches, 27 weeks on the Recovery patches and 28 weeks on Rejuvenator.  Mom said, “Yesterday, when I walked through the door James said, ‘there’s Mommy’. The other day his dad met him unexpectedly when he got off the school bus and he said, ‘Yippie, this is fun.’ This is the first time he has ever said either of these things.” She mentioned that he continues to do everything at school. After 27 minutes of the session at Dreamweaver House, he got up, took off his headset and walked into the next room to play with the cars. While there, he played with all the toys and then, on Mom’s direction, he picked them all up. Just before he left she said, “What’s your name?” And he said loud and clear, “James!”

BABY STEPS LEAD TO GIANT IMPROVEMENTS

Comments – by different Caregivers after a few sessions
“Better eye contact, he is sleeping longer, now ties his shoes, less injurious behavior, much fewer meltdowns in lunchroom, people at school have noticed his improvement. Unsolicited by me the school bus driver who sees him all the time mentioned to me that she has noticed an improvement, he loves coming to DreamWeaver House- he skips in.”

“I’m so impressed-she can never sit still for this long, not even for a movie.” (She sat still for 45 minutes and didn't get up until session was over). She is falling asleep around 11 PM instead of the usual 1 AM”.

“He’s stopped biting the edge of his sleeve. His teacher said he’s more focused and he’s saying the words eat and cup.” (He was non-verbal). I'm so happy because he sat in the barber chair for the first time very still. The barber was amazed. He had blood taken the other day and he sat quietly, before he would have needed 3 people to keep him quiet. He was crawling on the floor the other day and when I told him to get up he did it all by himself, he’s never done that before.”

He said, ‘bathroom’ during the session and mom said, “Do you have to go to the bathroom?” He answered ‘yes’.(This was important because he is still not completely toilet trained. But now, he’s having fewer accidents.) . He is playing with a Leapster toy that he’s had for years and couldn't play with in the past. It has a stylus and he now uses it appropriately.”

“He’s starting to put a few words together, like, he'll say ‘I want Mommy’ and then he'll take my hand and show me what he wants. I walked into his class the other day and he looked up at me and said ‘Mommy’, in recognition. He never says the word Mommy alone.”

“His teachers are really pleased with his progress, they say he’s more focused. He was totally relaxed at the dentist the other day, and he was being drilled! I always say, ‘cut it out’. His teachers told me some kids were misbehaving the other day and he told them to ‘cut it out’. His teachers were so excited that he put three words together.
